Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with three years of experience or training.
• Experience in dental hygiene and periodontal care preferred.
• Familiarity with radiographic imaging and EHR documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive oral examinations, chart restorations and conditions, and conduct oral cancer screening and periodontal probing.
• Capture radiographic images (CBCT, panoramic, bitewings) and input into the EHR.
• Maintain hygiene recall schedule and assist with appointment scheduling and insurance management.
• Provide oral health promotion and hygiene services at MUSC Rural Health Clinics.
• Maintain infection control and sterilization; manage dental supplies and inventory.
• Contribute to team efforts and assist with other duties as directed by the GPR Program Director.
