The Adams School of Dentistry is one of six health science schools (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Public Health) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is the first dental school in the state of North Carolina. The ASOD consists of seven (7) Academic Departments: Biomedical Sciences, Craniofacial and Surgical Care (Craniofacial Center, Geriatrics/Special Care, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Oral Medicine), Restorative Sciences (General Dentistry, Operative & Biomaterials and Prosthodontics), Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health, Orthodontics, Diagnostic Sciences (Oral Microbiology, Orofacial Pain/Sleep, Pathology and Radiology) and Periodontology, Endodontics and Dental Hygiene (one department). Currently the ASOD has 1,077 incumbents, filling 589 faculty positions (412 non-paid adjunct status, 177 in-pay status), 83 fellow positions, 33 post-doc positions, 42 EHRA -NF positions, 283 SHRA positions and 47 SHRA student positions, and we have active recruitments for faculty and staff! Primary Purpose Of Organizational Unit
The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Division of Comprehensive Oral Health houses several disciplines including, Periodontology, Dental Hygiene, Comprehensive Dentistry, Operative Dentistry/BioMaterials, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. The Periodontology discipline focuses on the prevention and treatment of gum disease, as well as the management of gum and tissue inflammation resulting from existing dental conditions
Position Summary
A SIGN -ON BONUS OF $3,000 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT FOR THIS POSITION PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE .
