Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene services including cleanings, scaling, root planing, fluoride, and sealants
• Detect oral diseases through screenings and examinations
• Evaluate patient oral health to determine appropriate care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Document medical/dental histories, vital signs, and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments
• Capture diagnostic x-rays following ADA guidelines

Requirements

• Exceptional patient service skills with empathy and energy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow clinical protocols and office policies
• Associate’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
• Active RDH license in Connecticut
• Active Professional Liability Insurance
• Basic Life Support Certification (or willingness to obtain)
