Capital Area Health Network (CAHN) in Richmond, VA seeks a Dental Hygienist to develop and implement individualized dental care plans, educate patients, and deliver direct patient care under supervision of a dentist. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related clinical field.
• Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
• No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Documents dental history and notes observations for the dental team.
• Performs routine dental hygiene procedures as ordered by the dentist (cleaning, polishing, X-rays, sealants, fluoride).
• Educates patients and families on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Assists in patient triage and manages minimal emergency responses as needed.
• Maintains compliance with CAHN policies and prepares patient care areas and records.

Assesses dental condition and needs of patient; uses patient screening procedures, to include medical history review, dental charting, and period charting; takes patient vital signs as required.
