Qualifications

  • Preferred one year of Dental Hygiene experience but not required.
  • Must have Local Anesthesia License and CPR Certification.

Job description

Sardina Dental Group is located in Landisville, PA. We have a beautiful modern office, in an old restored farmhouse, a wonderful patient population, an enthusiastic team and sincere Doctors who are honest and dedicated to quality care. We are looking for a Dental Hygienist who exudes a positive attitude, has the ability to multitask, takes initiative and is willing to learn.

Full-time hours totaling 32 hours a week working from 6:30AM to 5:30PM.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
  • Applying fluoride and other cavity preventing agents to prevent dental decay.
  • Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
  • Detects disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums; using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession.
  • Takes digital radiographs and uses intra oral camera.
  • Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions.
  • Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories; charting in patient records.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Charts conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.
  • Explains treatment plans and addresses patient concerns.
  • Experience with Eaglesoft/Dexis is a plus but not necessary.
Qualifications
  • One year of Dental Hygiene experience preferred but not required.
  • Local Anesthesia License.
  • CPR Certified.
  • Current child abuse clearances.
  • Second-year hygiene students are welcome to apply.
