Job summary

DDS Associates, a Houston-based dental practice, is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team. You’ll deliver preventive dental care, educate patients, and support a patient-focused culture in a modern medical building on Fannin Street.

Hours are Mon–Thu 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with one Friday per month (8 AM–2 PM or 8 AM–12 PM). We offer competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing CE with mentorship opportunities to help your career thrive.

Qualifications

• Current TX dental hygienist license.
• Associates or Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene.
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry and hygiene procedures.

Hours:

Monday through Thursday7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

1 Friday Per Month: 8 am to 2 pm or 8 am to 12 pm

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in Texasand an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Open to new grads
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year
• As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
