Smile Doctors in Michigan is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. You will deliver a positive clinical experience under the supervision of a Dentist, while adhering to state laws and company policies.

Responsibilities include screening patients, removing deposits, applying fluoride, taking x-rays, maintaining charts, and educating patients on oral health. We offer a competitive salary range of $50.00-$53.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State Hygiene License required.
• Current CPR Certificate required.
• Current Hepatitis B vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients during checkups.
• Clean accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and gums.
• Take x-rays and review them for signs of dental diseases.
• Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments.
• Reviewing a patient’s dental and medical history and maintaining charts.

How You’ll Make Us Better

Responsible for delivering positive clinical experience to all patients while following strict adherence to company policies as well state dental laws, rules and regulations under the direction and supervision of a Dentist.

• Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring that the Ultimate Patient Experience is delivered to every patient
• Screening patients during checkups
• Clean accretions, calcareous deposits, and stains from teeth and gums
• Examine for indications of oral cancer
• Reviewing a patient’s dental and medical history
• Maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately
• Recommending care to improve a patient’s oral health
• Performing preventive dental care
• Applying fluoride treatments
• Taking x-rays and reviewing them for signs of dental diseases
• Sterilizing and preparing dental instruments
