Job summary

Health Ministries Clinic in Newton, Kansas is seeking a compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our integrated care team. This full-time position focuses on patient-centered preventive dental care within a Federally Qualified Health Center.

You will work with dentists and support staff to educate patients, perform cleanings, X-rays, fluoride, sealants, and maintain accurate records in our EDR while upholding infection-control standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • At least 1 year of dental hygiene experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Strong knowledge of dental software and electronic records.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventive dental care including cleanings, scaling, and periodontal maintenance.
  • Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays).
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and overall oral health.
  • Record and maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic dental record (EDR).
  • Assist dentists with patient care and treatment planning.
  • Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our integrated care team in Newton, Kansas. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide patient-centered dental care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

As a key member of our dental team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you will work alongside dentists, medical providers, and support staff to improve oral health within our community. Our integrated care model emphasizes prevention, education, and whole-person health, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with patients while making a lasting impact.

What You'll Do
