Responsibilities

  • Set up treatment rooms for procedures.
  • Escort patients to the treatment room and prepare them for treatment according to office protocol.
  • Anticipate dentist's needs to keep procedures moving safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure patients' questions are answered before they leave.
  • Accurately complete charting procedures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the dentist.

Job description

Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our integrated care team in Newton, Kansas. This full-time position offers a meaningful opportunity to support patient-centered dental care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

As a key member of our dental team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you'll work alongside dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure high-quality, whole-person care. Our care model emphasizes prevention, education, and compassion allowing you to build relationships with patients and make a lasting impact in the community.

The schedule for the position will be Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional Fridays.

What You'll Do
