NICEFORO & BRAUN DDS PC in New York, NY is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our compassionate team. You will screen patients, perform dental cleanings, take x-rays, and assist dentists with exams and procedures to ensure a fantastic dental experience for every client.

The ideal candidate holds an active RDH license, an Associate’s degree in dental hygiene, and a strong understanding of HIPAA rules and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license
• Associate’s degree in dental hygiene
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and safety guidelines
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer questions
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist
• Take vital signs and record medical histories
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
• Evaluate patients for gum disease, cavities, and infection
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques
• Create dental impressions
• Take x-rays
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and office policies
