Job summary

Anantuni Family Dental in Arizona is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our caring team. You will screen patients, perform cleanings, and assist dentists with exams and procedures.

State licensure and at least two years of experience with laser certification are required; friendly, patient-focused communicators are encouraged to apply. You will welcome patients, discuss care plans, take x-rays, remove plaque, apply fluoride, and teach effective oral hygiene.

Qualifications

• State-licensed Registered Dental Hygienist.
• Minimum 2 years of dental hygiene experience.
• Laser & Anesthesia Certification.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and dental safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have.
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories.
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories; evaluate for gum disease, cavities, and infection.
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments.
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques.
• Create dental impressions.
• Take x-rays.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies.

• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
