Job summary

Garland K. Davis, DDS & Associates is seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to grow and shape our hygiene department.

You will deliver comprehensive preventive and periodontal care, build patient relationships, and educate patients on oral health, within a supportive private-practice environment. The ideal candidate has an active Maryland license, multiple years of clinical experience, and a collaborative, patient‑centered approach.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland dental hygiene license and current required certifications.
• Several years of clinical experience in dental hygiene.
• Strong periodontal assessment and instrumentation skills.
• Clear communication and ability to explain recommendations without pressure or judgment.
• Accurate documentation and infection-control practices.
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized preventive and nonsurgical periodontal care within your scope of practice.
• Assess periodontal health and document findings, collaborating with dentists on treatment recommendations.
• Help patients understand conditions and recommended care to support informed decisions.
• Build lasting patient relationships to promote treatment completion and ongoing preventive care.

Your Impact

• Deliver personalized preventive and nonsurgical periodontal care within your scope of practice.
• Assess periodontal health, document findings accurately, and collaborate with our dentists on appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Help patients understand their conditions and recommended care so they can make confident, informed decisions.
• Build lasting relationships that encourage patients to complete treatment and maintain consistent preventive care.
• Strengthen hygiene workflows, patient education, and continuity of care.
• Contribute to our goal of growing the hygiene department to $1 million+ in annual production through clinically appropriate care, patient retention, and effective teamwork.
