Job summary

We are seeking a qualified, self-motivated and caring Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Jessica V Massari DDS LLC in Kentucky. You will screen patients, perform cleanings and assist the dentists with exams and procedures.

The schedule is 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with no evenings or weekends. The ideal candidate is state-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has at least three years of experience.

Qualifications

• State-licensed dental hygienist with current license.
• 3+ years of dental hygiene experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and dentistry safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have.
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures.
• Accurately record medical histories.
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories.
• Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection.
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments.
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques.
• Take x-rays using state-of-the-art digital sensors.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies.

• Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure
• At least 1-3 years of experience in dental hygiene
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Team player to complete our dynamic team
