Job summary

Norwalk Village Dental Center is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our friendly team in Norwalk, CA. You will perform cleanings, screenings, and support dentists during exams and procedures to ensure exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an active RDH license, has 1–2 years of hygiene experience, and demonstrates excellent communication and patient service skills to create a comfortable, family‑friendly dental experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines.
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have.
• Prep sterilized equipment and make it available to the dentist for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and accurately record medical histories.
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories.
• Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection.
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments.
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques.
• Create dental impressions.
• Take x-rays.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies.
