As a Dental Hygienist for Swope Health, you will provide care for the community members who need it most. The Dental Hygienist assists in oral health education and performs clinical procedures aimed at preventing oral disease. Your role will help patients attain and maintain optimal oral health. If you are passionate about improving quality of life, this is the role for you.

Primary Functions:

  • Perform routine dental procedures such as scaling of teeth, including subgingival regions and root planning with hand and ultrasonic instruments, and polishing of all exposed tooth surfaces during oral prophylaxis.
  • Instruct patients and others in preventive dental health practices, provide nutrition counseling, and conduct diet analysis.
  • Evaluate and distribute effective dental health educational materials to interested groups, patients, and staff.
  • Complete Patient Safety Training curriculum.

Successful Candidates will have:

  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • State license to practice dental hygiene in Missouri and Kansas.
  • One year of experience in private practice or a clinical setting (preferred).
