*Job description*
We are looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our busy office. If you're patient-focused and recall driven, Emergency Dental of America - Detroit is an ideal place to grow your career!
*Responsibilities*
* Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride and sealants, and root planning.
* Aid the dentist with procedures and emergencies as needed
* Maintain patient confidentiality
* Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards
* Able to commit to 2 days/week with ROOM TO GROW
* Must be able to deliver anesthetic
* Self motivated/creative time management
* Comfortable shifting into positions (i.e. sterile, assisting, front desk, tx plan presentation, collections)
* Able to form and grow bonds with assistants and DDS
* Potential of 1 Saturday/month \*\*key word potential
* Comfortable making and taking phone calls, making confirmation calls, and reminder calls.
* Well rehearsed in patient education--restorative/surgical/hygiene
*Qualifications*
* Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene
* Registered Dental Hygienist license
* Current CPR certification
* 1-2 years of experience working in a dental practice is a MUST
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care
* Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices
* Licensed to administer local anesthesia
