Job summary

Main Street Dental Care is seeking a dedicated dental hygienist to join our tight-knit community. The ideal candidate will manage patient hygiene appointments and educate patients on oral health techniques. An active Hygienist License in New York is required, along with excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Necessary Qualifications And Skills

• We welcome Certified Hygienists of all experience levels to apply
• Active Hygienist License in the state of New York
• Warm, compassionate and professional chairside manner – we want our patients to feel well taken care of!
• General understanding of standard dental software, including Dexis and Eaglesoft
• Excellent communicator – must be fluent in both English and Spanish
• A self‑starting team player – you’re there to help when needed, but also own your work without direct supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist certification in NJ
• X‑ray certification in NY and/or NJ
• Conversant in French Creole

Accountabilities

• End to end management of patient hygiene appointments
• Educating patients on proper oral health techniques – instilling a sense of careful ownership of personal oral hygiene in our patient base
• Patient screenings, both pre‑ and post‑up, providing an extra set of eyes and hands to our doctors
• Taking X‑rays when the need arises
