Responsibilities

• Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care per TN scope and protocols.
• Review histories, assess health, obtain records/radiographs, and flag concerns.
• Deliver hygiene services with emphasis on quality, comfort, and safety.
• Educate patients on oral health and home care clearly and practically.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes, charts, and treatment records.
• Prepare patients, manage appointment times, and communicate delays.
• Provide concise handoffs and coordinate with assistants and team.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, privacy, and safety procedures.
• Participate in team huddles, training, and calibration.

What You'll Do

• Provide preventive and periodontal hygiene care within Tennessee scope-of-practice requirements and established clinical protocols
• Review patient histories, assess periodontal health, obtain appropriate records and radiographs, and bring concerns to the dentist's attention
• Deliver authorized hygiene services with consistent attention to quality, patient comfort, and safety
• Educate patients about their oral health, home care, and recommended next steps in clear, practical language
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical notes, charting, and treatment records
• Prepare for each patient, manage appointment time responsibly, and communicate delays early
• Provide dentists with concise clinical handoffs and work closely with assistants and the business team to keep patient care coordinated
• Follow infection-control, sterilization, privacy, and workplace-safety procedures
• Participate in team huddles, training, and ongoing clinical calibration

What We're Looking For

• Current Tennessee Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing
