Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
• Screening patients and providing quality care during check-ups
• Educating patients in oral hygiene techniques and working with patients on their oral hygiene care
• Reviewing patient's history and charting
• Administering prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing
• Documenting areas of existing restorations
• Use of X-ray
• Supporting the dentist with procedures as needed

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Hygienist license required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Current BLS/CPR certifications
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training
• Minimum 1 or more years of RDH clinical experience preferred; new grads are welcome!
• Knowledgeable about perio health and comfortable with patient education
• Experience with dental practice software
• Team Player - strong collaborator that is open, positive, and flexible
