Job summary

Heartland Dental is hiring a Dental Hygienist for our Antioch, IL office. You will provide preventive care, screenings, and patient education as part of a supportive dental team.

The position offers mentorship, CE coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time requires at least 30 hours per week, with bi-weekly pay and the option for Daily Pay. Applicants must have IL licensure and hygiene degree.

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in IL and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental care and patient education as part of the hygiene team.
• Maintain patient records, screenings, and medical histories.
• Participate in hygiene mentorship program and ongoing education.
• Adhere to safety and infection control standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in IL and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• New Graduate or years of clinical experience
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person)periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
