Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Houston is hiring to lead a new Dental Hygiene Associate Degree program. This on-site role combines strategic leadership, curriculum design, accreditation oversight, and hands-on instruction to build a premier program from the ground up.

The position requires a Master's in Dental Hygiene, CODA accreditation experience, and a Texas dental hygiene license, with a goal of achieving strong student outcomes and program excellence.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• CODA program graduate: graduate of a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program.
• Clinical experience: minimum of three years full-time Dental Hygienist experience.
• Licensure: active Texas license to practice dental hygiene.
• Educational background: experience with educational methodologies and instructional strategies.
• Administrative experience; teaching in a CODA-accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Launch and oversee the new Dental Hygiene program aligned with institutional standards.
• Lead CODA accreditation activities including self-study and site visits.
• Chair faculty and advisory board meetings and represent PMI in dental meetings.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate program faculty.
• Coordinate curriculum design and instructional excellence.
• Ensure clinical education reflects modern dental practices.
• Support student success with retention and advising activities.
• Monitor admissions criteria and department budgets.
