Georgia Highlands College invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene to join the Floyd Campus in Rome, GA. The role combines didactic, laboratory, and clinical teaching within the ASDH dental hygiene program and supports curriculum development.

Candidates should be a Registered Dental Hygienist with a CODA-accredited degree, hold a GA license, and have teaching experience; a master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Hygienist required, CODA-accredited program graduate.
• Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
• Current Georgia Dental Hygiene License or licensure eligible.
• CPR and BLS certifications maintained.
• Minimum of two years of clinical dental hygiene experience.
• Dental hygiene didactic and clinical teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach dental hygiene laboratory, clinical and didactic courses per course outlines and department objectives.
• Direct students during clinical, laboratory, and off-site learning experiences.
• Maintain current course content and syllabi in line with CODA and ADEA standards.
• Communicate with students, faculty and staff via phone, email, and other channels.
• Manage course records, attendance and grades with careful documentation.
• Prepare and maintain instructional materials and classroom equipment.
