Lane & Associates Family Dentistry in Greensboro is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support hygienists by handling patient-related clerical tasks, assisting with clinical duties, and keeping chart accuracy. You will help ensure the hygienist can work efficiently and provide excellent patient care.

The role involves stocking treatment rooms, documenting procedures, updating patient history, exposing digital radiographs, and supporting recall and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NC X-ray Certification required.
• DAI Certification required.
• Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked, disinfected, and set up for each appointment.
• Greet patients and introduce your role to them.
• Update medical history and obtain blood pressure as requested.
• Chart and document all procedures; note next treatment.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain a clean, organized lab.
• Document patient conditions and dental history; record comments.
• Expose digital radiographs as needed.
• Reinforce hygienist-recommended treatments and home care instructions.
• Assist with managing the office recall system.
• Maintain inventory control in hygiene rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Participate in shared maintenance duties.
• Perform routine tasks independently.
• Assist with monitoring the schedule and confirm appointments.
