Lane & Associates Family Dentistry in Maysville, NC is hiring a Hygiene Assistant to support hygienists by handling clerical tasks, assisting with clinical duties, and keeping charts accurate. The role focuses on enabling the hygienist to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care while engaging with patients to explain the hygienist’s role and home-care recommendations.

You will stock rooms, manage recalls, assist with sterilization, and participate in shared maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid NC X-ray Certification is required.
• DAI Certification is required.
• Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked, disinfected, and set up for each appointment.
• Greet patients warmly and introduce your role.
• Update medical history and obtain blood pressure as requested by the hygienist.
• Chart and document all procedures; note next recommended treatment.
• Maintain a clean, organized lab and treatment rooms with staff.
• Assist with recalls and appointment confirmations; manage inventory and sterilize instruments.
• Perform routine tasks independently as needed.
