Gentle Dental of New Baltimore is seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant in New Baltimore, MI to support the office and dental staff in delivering preventive care. The role involves room setup, patient prep, radiographs (if certified), charting, and patient education in a team-based clinical environment.

We welcome applicants with a high school diploma or GED and a Dental Assisting credential; radiology and CPR certifications are preferred and can be obtained upon hiring.

Qualifications

• Associate or certification in Dental Assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization.
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress.
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress.
• Expose and develop radiographs if certified.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments.
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and office recall systems.
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA & OSHA.
