Job summary

Soto Dental Partners is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join a team focused on patient-first care and ongoing professional development. No extensive dental experience required, with on-the-job training and comprehensive onboarding to build skills in chair-side assistance, patient education, and effective practice operations.

The role supports hygienists, helps prepare rooms, and ensures safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training, aligning with the specific role and responsibilities, will be required; and the individual will need to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and sustain patient comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review the patient health history to inform quality care.
• Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during procedures.
• Assist with setting up rooms for hygiene visits, stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Partner with providers and team to follow office systems and maximize workflow.
