Job summary

Desert Springs Dental in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a friendly Hygiene Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training with experienced clinicians and a clear path for development within a world-class organization focused on patient care.

You will greet patients, review health histories, assist hygienists, set up rooms, stock supplies, and use Dentrix for scheduling and records. Schedule: Mon–Wed 7am–5pm; Thu 6:45am–2pm, with 7am–7pm on the last Wednesday of the month.

Qualifications

• On the job training may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Team player, friendly, outgoing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must protect PHI and complete HIPAA training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients and support their comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Provide assistance to hygienists during procedures.
• Set up rooms for hygiene visits and stock instruments/supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols per OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Partner with providers to follow office systems and maximize workflow.
