Meadow Creek Dental Care, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support hygienists and ensure patient comfort in Rockford, MI. You will greet patients, review health histories, and help prepare rooms and instruments for hygiene visits.

Qualifications

• Michigan Radiology License or willingness to obtain.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience with a dental software system; Dentrix preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and protection of PHI.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review the patient’s health history to support quality care.
• Assist supported hygienists during procedures in line with state dental practice acts.
• Set up rooms for hygiene visits and manage instruments and supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidance.
• Collaborate with providers and team to maximize office workflow.
