Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
• Certification as a dental X-ray technician.
• Coronal polish certification.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists with procedures and patient care, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations with sterilized tools and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
• Record patient care and update dental records as needed.
• Provide post-procedure instructions and ensure patient understanding.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene under supervision of the dentist/hygienist.
• Take dental radiographs as required during examinations.
• Ensure instruments are cleaned, dated and processed per guidelines.
• Manage patient scheduling and workflow to optimize efficiency.
• Participate in inventory control for hygiene materials and tools.
• Attend staff meetings to improve team coordination and service quality.
