Contra Costa Community College District invites applications for the Dental Hygiene Program- Adjunct Faculty (TEMPORARY) at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. The position supports theory and clinical instruction, with a focus on meeting entry-level competencies and diverse student needs.

Eligible applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience; must have a current BLS certification and a California license or equivalent; compensation is an hourly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
• Two years of professional experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current California license as a dentist, dental hygienist, or dental hygienist in alternative practice (or special permit).

Responsibilities

• Providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules.
• Creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning and critical thinking.
• Evaluating progress of students and grades.
• Meeting with students outside of class.
• Maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
• Fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
• Maintaining accurate academic records.
