Job summary

Macomb Community College invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in the Health and Human Services – Dental Hygiene Program. Faculty will provide clinic, lab, and classroom instruction across modalities including on campus, online, remote, and hybrid to support student success.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in dental hygiene, current Michigan RDH license, and Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide certs; a DDS/DMD is also acceptable. Minimum 5 years of field experience.

• Experience delivering instruction in clinic, lab, and classroom settings.
• Ability to adapt teaching to multiple modalities (on campus, online, remote, hybrid).
• Commitment to maintaining accreditation standards and student success.
• Strong communication and feedback skills for student assessment.

Responsibilities

• Teach in clinic and lab aligned with department objectives.
• Maintain and update course materials in LMS with announcements and gradebook.
• Submit final grades by deadlines and ensure timely feedback.
• Facilitate student clinical and lab experiences as assigned.
• Contribute to course assessments measuring student learning outcomes.
• Maintain faculty credentials and participate in development days.
• Create and refine course curriculum and assessments as industry dictates.
