Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Must be a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in Massachusetts and possess a Dental Hygienist Local Anesthesia Permit (Permit L).
• Demonstrated experience with college level teaching or as a facilitator in a corporate or non-profit environment.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience shall be considered.
• Proven technological proficiency, which may include Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Prior online teaching experience using a Learning Management System.
• Must submit to a background check (CORI/SORI) and drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach and design dental hygiene clinical course material to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation.
• Maintain current infection control policies for the Dental Hygiene Clinic, promoting safe standards of patient care.
• Supervise students in on-site Dental Hygiene Clinic.
• Assess student learning to ensure attainment of required competencies and assign grades through inclusive pedagogies.
• Contribute to a climate of multicultural empowerment and appreciation.
• Create an effective learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and problem solving.
• Employ a variety of assessments to ensure student learning and attainment of outcomes.
• Be available to students virtually or in person for assistance meeting course requirements.
