Join to apply for the Dental Front Office Lead role at AACI (Asian Americans for Community Involvement).

Under the supervision of the Health Center Clinic Manager, the Dental Front Office Lead oversees daily dental clinic front desk operations, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality customer service. Responsibilities include insurance verifications and support for maintaining health and safety regulatory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the reception team and oversee check-in and check-out processes.
  2. Ensure front desk coverage and assist the Clinic Manager with creating and maintaining team schedules.
  3. Serve as a backup for the reception team when necessary, providing exemplary customer service.
  4. Provide training, support, and evaluation of the reception team, including training on procedures, software, and customer service protocols.
  5. Serve as a key resource for staff on organizational and front desk policies and procedures.
  6. Escalate patient concerns to clinical staff according to established protocols.
  7. Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes for timely verification of patient insurance information.
  8. Assist with patient scheduling, including appointments and confirmations.
  9. Oversee and reconcile daily cash and credit card collections, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  10. Monitor team productivity and suggest solutions to enhance patient experience and office workflow.
  11. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and monitor team adherence to safety protocols.
  12. Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  2. Two or more years of related work experience within a dental office setting.
  3. Two or more years of supervisory experience.
  4. Current CPR & BLS certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  1. Ability to perform duties effectively as outlined.
  2. Familiarity with dental office operations, including scheduling, patient intake, dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
  3. Awareness of when to escalate patient concerns based on protocols.
  4. Excellent customer service skills with effective issue resolution.
  5. Proficiency with Epic EHR or similar systems.
  6. Ability to teach, motivate, and ensure a team delivers exceptional service.
  7. Attention to detail and commitment to administrative accuracy.
  8. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
  9. Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

  2. Effective communication with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
Working Conditions

Work is conducted in an office environment within a dental clinic setting. Basic safety precautions and protective gear are required. Extensive public interaction may occur. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary.
