Job summary

Harbor Health Services, Inc. operates Ellen Jones Community Dental Center in Dennis, MA, seeking a Dental Patient Access Representative to greet patients, register new and existing patients, and verify schedules and insurance.

Two positions are available: 40 hours per week and 32 hours per week, with comprehensive benefits. You will collect patient demographics, confirm eligibility, assist with payments and discounts, and coordinate with the Referral Coordinator to ensure a smooth patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years in a community health center; 3+ preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Basic math and reading comprehension.
• Computer literacy; MS Office; EPIC EPM preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
• Familiarity with medical/dental terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients and walk-ins; verify appointments and insurance.
• Collect demographics and insurance data; ensure accuracy.
• Verify insurance and document payer for claims; collect co-pays.
• Answer telephone promptly and route calls.
• Explain payment options and assist with Sliding Fee Scale.
• Schedule/reschedule appointments; perform misc admin duties.
• Refer patients to Referral Coordinator.
• Ensure PCP referrals and motor vehicle/workers comp ins.
