Job summary

Prisma Health Dentistry in Columbia, SC seeks an open-rank Dentist for a full-time, clinical track faculty position within the Department of Dentistry. The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician-educator with expertise in general dentistry and will collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance the General Practice Residency experience for residents and patients.

This role reports to the department chair and to the SC School of Medicine Dean as Director

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of a CODA approved Residency Program.
• Certified to administer IV Moderate Sedation.
• Eligibility for a South Carolina dental license.
• Applicants must have a clinical, scholarly, and/or academic record consistent with each appointment level in the South Carolina School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care and education to residents and general practice residents.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance resident experiences.
• Report to the department chair and the SC School of Medicine Dean as Director of the General Residency Program.
