This position serves as a dental faculty member for the Department of Dentistry and General Practice Residency. The successful candidate will be an outstanding clinician-educator with expertise in clinical general dentistry and will work in collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance the general practice residents’ experiences.
The General Practice Residency clinics provide emergency and multidisciplinary comprehensive oral health care for a wide variety of patients, including patients with special needs, to manage the delivery of oral health care by applying concepts of patient and practice management and quality improvement that are responsive to a dynamic health care environment and that lead to functioning effectively within the hospital on interdisciplinary health care teams. This faculty position reports to the department chair and has a reporting relationship to the South Carolina School of Medicine Dean as the Director of the General Residency Program.
