Job summary

The University at Buffalo’s Restorative Dentistry department seeks a Patient Care Specialist to support clinical dental research studies. You will provide specialized clinical and laboratory expertise for observational and interventional protocols within UB’s dental research programs.

Key responsibilities include performing clinical procedures, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and participant engagement, while assisting with examiner calibration sessions to ensure study consistency and quality

Qualifications

• Experience supporting clinical research procedures and protocols.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and handle biospecimens per study guidelines.
• Strong communication skills for participant engagement and informed consent.

Responsibilities

• Perform study-specific clinical procedures and assessments.
• Conduct phlebotomy and process specimens with proper labeling and storage.
• Support recruitment, retention, and follow-up activities for participants.
• Assist with examiner calibration sessions for investigators and staff.
