Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Two years supervisory experience required; dental experience preferred.
• Healthcare or specialty clinic experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily clinic operations and optimize workflow.
• Collaborate with Dental Services Manager and leadership.
• Address patient questions about care and billing and resolve issues.
• Create and oversee daily staff schedules and coverage.
• Oversee active schedule management to balance patient access and utilization.
• Lead quality initiatives and manage quality metrics with leadership.
• Coordinate HR activities including interviews, orientation, and training.
• Direct, oversee, and coordinate training of new employees with Dental Services Manager.
• Promote patient safety culture including documentation and incident reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and accreditation requirements.
• Maintain records regarding patient linking, population health, and care gaps.
• Promote mission, vision, and values of AllWays Community Health Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Provides effective leadership and accountability for ambulatory care operations including excellence in customer service, human resources, information systems, patient-focused clinical care, quality assurance and financial management.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Manage the daily operations in the clinic. Optimizes clinic workflows. Acts as a resource in the daily operations and activities of the department.
2. 2. Collaborates with Dental Services Manager and leadership. Promotes effective working relationships within the service line to facilitate achieving goals and objectives.
3. 3. Works directly with patients to address patient questions and concerns regarding care and billing, evaluate various resolutions and ensure patients receive satisfactory resolution.
4. 4. Creates and oversees daily work schedules including management of daily staffing and float coverage. Oversees active schedule management to balance patient access, schedule, utilization, and continuity during hours of clinic operation. Manages prior authorization and referral processes.
5. 5. Leads clinic team in problem solving to address issues relating to patient safety, care, and service. Promotes effective working relationships and works effectively as part of the clinic team to facilitate meeting its goals and objectives. Assists in development of capital planning and operating budgets.
6. 6. Manages clinic teams on quality initiatives and managing quality metrics. Collaborates with Dental Services Manager and the leadership team to identify and drive quality initiatives and manage quality metrics. Collaborates with the leadership team and physician leader to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives. Drives and supports associate engagement and patient experience outcomes.
7. 7. Collaboration with Human Resource on management functions including interviewing, selection, orientation, education, training, feedback, performance evaluations, and policy and procedure development.
8. 8. Collaboration with Dental Services Manager to direct, oversee, and coordinate training of new employees. Builds strong partnership with local clinic physician leadership.
9. 9. Takes an active role in professional development of associates, developing leaders as appropriate.
10. 10. Creates a culture of patient safety including documentation and reporting of any incident reporting. Maintains adults for medication safety. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, and licensure, compliance, and accreditation requirements. Ensures compliance with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
11. 11. Partners with clinical leadership team for management of maintaining records regarding patient linking, population health, and care gap closure.
12. 12. Promotes mission, vision, and values of AllWays Community Health Center, and abides by service behavior standards.

Two years supervisory level experience is required. Dental experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience. Healthcare and/or Specialty clinic experience.
