Job summary

Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to support internal and external reporting for the Dental Clinic, manage closes and reconciliations, and analyze results. The role coordinates with CUIMC Controller’s Office to ensure accurate quarterly statements and strengthen financial controls.

The position reports to the Director for Financial Reporting and requires a Bachelor’s in Finance with at least five years of relevant experience; healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance with at least five years of progressively responsible financial management experience.
• Healthcare sector experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present complex financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations of the Dental Clinic and monthly close, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare quarterly GAAP financial statement analyses and present findings to leadership.
• Analyze patient care revenue by payor and assist with annual audits and cost report preparation.
• Coordinate with University tax for annual 990 preparation and liaise with ARC/PeopleSoft systems.
• Develop internal controls to safeguard financial assets and improve reporting processes.
