Job summary

i4 Dental Lab is seeking a highly skilled Lead Ceramist to oversee our dental ceramics department. This role combines artistry with leadership to guide a team of technicians in producing high-end restorations.

Requirements include 5–7+ years as a dental ceramist, mentoring experience, and familiarity with Zirconia, E.max, and Feldspathic porcelain. Experience with Exocad/3Shape is advantageous; CDT is a plus. Competitive compensation & full benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate high-quality porcelain restorations including anterior crowns, veneers, bridges, and implants.
• Perform custom staining, glazing, wax-ups, and shade-matching for aesthetics.
• Mentor, train, and supervise junior ceramists to ensure quality.
• Review cases at production stages to meet doctor specs and quality.
• Collaborate with CAD/CAM to optimize workflows and outputs.
• Troubleshoot complex cases and communicate with clinicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and adherence to quality protocols.
• Stay current with new ceramic materials and industry best practices.

I4Dentallab is seeking a highly skilled and artistic Lead Ceramist to oversee our dental ceramics department. This role is ideal for a master craftsperson who combines exceptional technical expertise with strong leadership skills, capable of fabricating high-end, aesthetic dental restorations while guiding and mentoring a team of technicians. What You'll Be Doing

• Fabricating high-quality porcelain restorations, including anterior crowns, veneers, bridges, and implant-supported prosthetics
• Performing custom staining, glazing, diagnostic wax-ups, and complex shade-matching to achieve optimal aesthetics
• Mentoring, training, and supervising junior ceramists to support their technical growth and ensure consistent quality
• Reviewing cases at various stages of production to confirm they meet quality standards and doctor specifications
• Collaborating with the CAD/CAM department to optimize digital workflows, scanning, and milling outputs
• Troubleshooting complex or challenging cases and communicating directly with clinicians as needed
• Maintaining accurate case documentation and ensuring adherence to lab quality protocols
• Staying current on new ceramic materials, digital workflows, and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience as a dental ceramist, with proven experience in high-end cosmetic case fabrication
• Prior experience leading, managing, or mentoring a team in a dental laboratory setting is highly preferred
• Mastery of layering techniques, morphology, and modern dental materials such as Zirconia, E.max, and Feldspathic porcelain
• Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation is a strong plus, though not required with equivalent exceptional experience
• Familiarity with digital dental workflows such as Exocad and 3Shape is highly advantageous
• A strong portfolio of past work demonstrating technical and artistic skill
• Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented, patient-focused mindset
