Job summary

Chapa-De Indian Health is seeking a Dental Call Center Representative in Grass Valley, CA, to help patients access needed dental care. You will handle high-volume calls, schedule appointments, verify eligibility (Medi-Cal, private insurance, sliding scale, PRC), and coordinate with care teams.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of call center experience; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of hand-on experience answering high-volume phone calls.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to remain professional in stressful situations.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Dental setting experience, dental terminology, medical/dental eligibility experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume incoming calls while providing prompt, courteous, and helpful support to dental patients.
• Accurately schedule appointments, manage cancellations, and help maximize appointment availability and patient access.
• Verify patient eligibility and insurance, including Medi-Cal, private insurance, sliding scale programs, and PRC.
• Document patient interactions accurately in the EHR and communicate patient needs to clinical and support teams.
• Conduct patient outreach and connect patients with resources to help them access and continue their dental care.

Hourly Pay

$25.00 – $26.00
