Qualifications

• Familiar with dental insurance claims, benefits verification, payments, and patient billing.
• Experience using dental practice management software is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable discussing financial responsibilities with patients in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Ability to work onsite in Massapequa Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Handle dental insurance claims, process payments, verify coverage, and follow up on outstanding or denied claims
• Resolve billing questions and insurance-related issues in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain accurate financial and patient dental records using dental practice management software
• Review account information and ensure billing records are complete and up to date
• Communicate with patients regarding basic treatment plans, financial responsibilities, insurance coverage, and billing expectations
• Answer patient questions related to billing, payments, insurance, and appointments
• Partner closely with the front office and clinical teams to ensure a smooth patient experience
• Support general administrative and billing needs as required
