Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to courses being taught.
• Three years of teaching/instruction experience in the designated field is preferred.
• Maintains a CDA credential and continuing credit hours as required by NM.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and presents course descriptions, lesson plans, and classroom lectures.
• Prepares and grades assignments, tests and quizzes; develops learning aids.
• Participates in program and curriculum development and outcome assessments.
• Provides one-to-one student supervision, advising and tutoring.
• Analyzes student progress and coordinates tutors as needed.
• Completes assessment and accreditation reporting as directed.
• Supports program review and year-end reporting on assessment and accreditation.
• Maintains a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Participates in student recruitment, retention and placement efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
