Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support military service members through mobile dental units. You will perform exams, treatments, X-rays, and chair-side assistance in deployment-ready settings, while maintaining sterile exams and friendly patient care.

The role is flexible part-time with weekend availability, travel to bases as needed, and compensation includes hourly pay, mileage reimbursement, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification (CDA, RDA, EDDA, EFDA) and Radiology Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dental care in mobile exam rooms and operatories, ensuring deployment readiness.
• Capture digital X-rays (BW & PANO) and handle instrument sterilization.
• Perform chair-side assistance and basic administrative duties.

Your Role

Requirements

• Credentials: Active Dental Assistant certification (CDA, RDA, EDDA, EFDA) and Radiology Certification in Alaska, CPR/BLS certification.
• Skills & Experience: Skilled in 4-handed dentistry, proficient with digital tools, with a preference for those with prior military experience.
• Access to Military Bases: Eligibility for base entry is required; a background check, criminal record check, and drug screening will be conducted.
• Availability: Weekends when you are available.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate
• Mileage Reimbursement (25 Miles from Home Address, GSA rate)
• Per Diem for each day worked
• Flights, Hotel, Rental Cars are all provided based on parameters set by the compay
