Job summary

North American Dental Group's Scatterfield Meadows Family Dental in Anderson, IN is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the clinical team.

You will prepare patients, assist the dentist in procedures, manage sterilization, and maintain documentation while upholding OSHA/HIPAA standards. Radiography certification and CPR are required, and MS Office skills are helpful.

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Certification or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
  • Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

Your Work Schedule
  • Monday: 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am-5:30pm
Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
