Job summary

ProSmile is hiring a Dental Assistant with X-Ray capabilities to support our operations in New Jersey. This role reports to the Dental Practice Manager and ensures high-quality patient care under supervision of dentists and dental hygienists.

The ideal candidate will hold a NJ Registered Dental Assistant license, a DRT license or be willing to pursue licensure, plus an active CPR certification. 1+ year of experience is preferred, with flexibility for evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Dental Radiologic Technologist license (DRT) or willingness to pursue licensure is required.
• 1+ years of work experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
• X-ray License is required.
• Active CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside with instruments and patient care.
• Maintain inventory control in operatories.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines.
• Facilitate scheduling, follow-up treatment, and record keeping.
• Perform basic lab procedures: impressions, pour models, and prep for external labs.
• Place and remove arch wires and ligature wires; fabricate temporary crowns.
