Job summary

Community Health Care in Washington state is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our clinics. You will register and log patients, initiate dental records, and support chairside procedures including cleaning, sterilizing, and temporary fillings or crowns. You will operate suction and assist during X-ray imaging.

A WA State Dental Assistant License is required, or graduation from an approved program with at least 1 year experience. On-the-job training is considered.

Qualifications

• WA State Dental Assistant license required.
• Graduate from a DA program or 1 year of on-the-job experience.
• Proficient in chairside assisting, radiographs and sterilization.

Responsibilities

• Register and log patients; prepare dental records.
• Perform procedures including cleaning, sterilizing, and temporary fillings/crowns.
• Act as chairside assistant; operate suction; keep instruments clean.
• Operate X-ray machines; take bitewing and periapical radiographs.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Our Dental Assistants register and logs patients appropriately, initiates dental records, resource information. They are responsible for performing procedures various procedures including but not limited to cleaning, sterilizing, placing temporary fillings, and temporary crowns. Our Dental Assistants act as a Chairside Assistant, they operate suction equipment to keep patient’s mouths free and clear, plus cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments. They also operate x-ray machines; takes bitewing and periodical x-rays. Plus, other duties as assigned. Our dental clinics provide preventive and restorative services for all ages, children, and adults. We focus on early screening for all children and sealants for school-age children.Washington State Dental Assistant License plus Graduation from a Dental Assistant Program or trained on-the-job with at least 1 year experience.We encourage anyone with a relevant combination of education and experience to apply.
