Wheatland Family Dental, part of Heartland Dental, seeks a Dental Assistant to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. You will greet patients, review health histories, take radiographs, and provide confident four-handed chairside support while maintaining safety protocols and efficient office workflow.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Certification as dental assistant and/or x-ray, if required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Protection of PHI and adherence to HIPAA training.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ensure comfort throughout treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process X-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment rooms per safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidance.
• Manage supplies and place orders to support workflow.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems.
