Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington state is seeking a Dental Assistant Trainee to support dentists at chairside, perform radiographs, and maintain patient education. The role includes charting in Epic and assisting with scheduling and front desk tasks as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, WA state registration, BLS/CPR, and willingness to enroll in the Sea Mar Dental Assistant Training Program. Starting wage is $21.30 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Enrollment in the Sea Mar Dental Assistant Training Program.
  • Current Washington State Dental Assistant Registration required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification for adults and infants required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • May require travel to other dental sites or departments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dental providers with chairside procedures and patient care.
  • Learn dental terminology, instruments, materials, and clinical procedures.
  • Follow infection control and sterilization protocols.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and maintain radiology standards.
  • Provide patient education and pre/post-treatment instructions.
  • Complete accurate charting and documentation in Epic.
  • Support scheduling, phone communication, and front desk functions as needed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
  • Complete all required training and competency requirements for advancement to Dental Assistant I.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Can be edited based on need) Hourly - Hourly Plan, 21.30 USD Hourly
