Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Dental Assistant I to support dental providers and deliver quality patient care. The role includes chairside assistance, patient education, infection control, and supporting clinic operations.

The position requires a formal Dental Assistant program or 1+ year of experience, Washington State DOH registration, and BLS CPR within 90 days of hire. Starting wage is $22.34 per hour with a Monday–Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Dental Assistant program or 1+ year experience.
• Washington State DOH Dental Assistant Registration required.
• BLS CPR required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong infection control and patient communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry across multiple procedures
• Escort and greet patients; ensure patient comfort and confidentiality
• Assist with patient charting, vitals, and dental documentation in Dentrix/Allscripts
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
• Support scheduling, inventory, supply ordering, and quality improvement activities
• Train new staff and assist with competency testing and ongoing education
